Syllectum (Tunisia)

Kaart Sullechtum

Syllectum was one of the oldest harbour cities in Tunisia. Nowadays the city is called Salakta. Most of the remains are under water.

Syllectum had a trading office in Ostia on the Piazzale delle Corporazioni (statio 23). In Ostia amphorae for olive oil with the stamp A SYLL have been found.
