Municipium Civium Romanorum Olisipo, in short Olisipo, was the modern city of Lisbon in Portugal, at the mouth of the river Tagus.
Between 31 and 27 BC Olisipo became a municipium. From the harbour garum, a fish sauce, was shipped in amphorae, as well as wine, salt and famous racing horses. It had trading connections with Britannia, especially Cornwall.
